My 2 day trip to this city was an absolutely life changing, mind-boggling experience. I met the sweetest and the kindest people, had the tastiest food and saw the most emotionally moving or touching places. I am so grateful to have experienced this wonderful place with all of it's history and love. I arrived in Krakow early in the morning and I met a French person on the flight with whom I hit it off. I asked him if it was okay to travel with him and he agreed wholeheartedly. I had to go to my hosts place later that afternoon and she lived in a village accessible by train so it was quite nice to be able to visit the town of Krakow before seeing this tiny hamlet.  My friend had rented a car in advance and so we went and picked up his car and started travelling towards the inside of the town. A city full of rich and sometimes dark history, this was one of the best places I have ever been to! I loved so much and so many stories made me shit my pants. (not literally) I lived in one of the most vibrant, colourful and dangerous parts of the city. This was a ghetto earlier, separated from the fancy parts with a wall. It is called Raval and it is ALWAYS alive.  It has people at 4 am and 4pm both. I witnessed a fight on the road at 3 am at night. Raval features Indian style fruit and vegetable markets with crazy cheap prices and so many India, Bangladeshi and Pakistani as well as Dominican restaurants.  It is a bit dirty and chaotic but I truly felt at home here. Apart from the tourist part of Barcelona, lies this neglected gem. I would highly recommend walking through Raval if you ever go to the city.  Every shop has a painting of what it features on its doors. Luxembourg is one of the smallest countries in the world. With the free public transport. you can visit all the prominent places in one day. It's crazy. The people speak Luxembourgish, English, French and Dutch and also German.  The wines and cheeses are different and it is more expensive as compared to France. I loved my visit here because I tried couchsurfing for the first time. For those who do not know, this is an online community where you can stay and host people, no money involved.
